Tea Time Cafe sits comfortably on E Church Street in Laurinburg as a cozy spot for those looking to unwind with quality coffee and a thoughtfully curated selection of pastries and light sandwiches. This café strikes a balance between a casual local hangout and a quiet nook for solo visitors or small groups seeking a relaxed atmosphere away from the midday bustle.

Locals tend to drop in throughout the day, with mornings filled by folks grabbing a croissant—options like ham and cheese or turkey and brie stand out for their flaky, light texture—paired with a robust cup of coffee. The Caramel Iced Coffee and various boba drinks add a playful twist for those craving something different, though some flavors, like taro milk tea, can be divisive depending on personal taste.

The café space itself is inviting and spacious, decorated with clean, bright touches that make it comfortable to linger over a pastry bundle or a quick sandwich. Seating works well for both quick stops and longer breaks. The staff’s friendly attentiveness helps create an easygoing mood, which suits the slow-paced flow typical of Laurinburg’s downtown.

The pastry offerings lean a bit on the sweet and savory side, with Raspberry White Chocolate Scones often catching attention for their balance of tart and creamy flavors. Cinnamon rolls and mini croissants come in handy for group orders or to share across a casual meeting. While the selection can sometimes thin out later in the day, arriving before the afternoon rush ensures the best variety.

Tea Time Cafe fits naturally into a local routine: whether you need a comforting breakfast sandwich on your way to work, a spot to catch up with friends over iced mocha or lemonade, or a quiet corner to enjoy a pastry and coffee combo in the afternoon. Its approachable vibe and well-chosen menu mean it appeals most to those who appreciate quality without fuss—a small but sincere representation of Laurinburg’s cafe culture.

Prices are good, and there's plenty of space to walk in and sit down. Clean and lots of pretty decorations. I tried the taro boba milk and knew I'll never drink a taro boba milk ever again because it tastes like soggy ceral. My friends told me it's good so maybe it's just one of those things that aren't for me. The drink was pretty at least, and the ice looked normal. The chicken salad was amazing though, I loved it. Came in a neat little container, and was delicious. It was the perfect serving, will come back for the chicken salad because it was very good. Got a crossiant for my mom, she said it's nice. There's lots of pretty and wrapped treats ready at the counter, so that's convenient. My favorite thing about the food is that it's neat and looks very delicious.

We love this little place! The raspberry white chocolate scones are heavenly!! I'm a pretty plain coffee drinker (regular drip coffee with a little half & half), but I did sip my daughter's iced mocha and it was delicious. It's a quaint little place with fantastic service.

I stopped by and got a sausage, egg, and cheese croissant for breakfast this morning. I switched the cheese from american to pepper-jack. It was delicious! I got their lemonade, too, and it was just as much sweet as tart! Such a great atmosphere and such friendly staff! A must go-to, if you’re around the LBG area!

Popped in here for a quick sandwich on my lunch break. I got the turkey and cheese, the croissant was light and airy… so good! I would eat about 10 more of them! The selection of baked goods was on a little smaller side, maybe because I came in later in the day. (The minus 1 star) Over all, pretty good and I look forward to coming back, hopefully earlier next time to have a little more selection of baked goods to choose from.

The coffee was a perfect balance of rich, bold flavors.....deep, smooth, and complex. It made every sip a delightful journey. The coffee I ordered was a Caramel Iced variant and I told the Barista to "surprise me" with some added details. My wife ordered a boba that offered chewy, sweet bubbles with just the right amount of refreshment and subtle sweetness, perfectly complementing the Vanilla Chai flavour in which she chose. But the true star was the breakfast sandwich. A tender egg with a perfectly cooked sausage and bacon, all encased in a buttery Croissant, which was elevated by a surprising twist was a savory jam instead of butter or something of the norm. The jam added a delightful sweet and earthy contrast, balancing the richness of the sandwich in a way I never expected. An absolutely exceptional breakfast experience!!!!

Great little gem in this area, wish it was closer to my home footprint! Food was excellent. A little pricey for the area I thought, more Charlotte area prices, but the excellence in the food was worth it. One suggestion, as we sat outside at their one bistro table...there were lots of bugs. Perhaps some bug repellant plants or something to address the issue. Recommend!

I don’t even know where to begin with this café – everything was perfection from the moment I walked in. The vibe is incredibly cozy yet stylish: soft lighting, beautiful plants everywhere, comfy velvet chairs, and the most soothing jazz playlist in the background. It feels like a warm hug in café form. The coffee? Life-changing. I ordered their signature lavender-honey latte and I’m still thinking about it days later – perfectly balanced, silky micro-foam, and that subtle floral note that makes you close your eyes on the first sip. My friend got the single-origin pour-over and literally wouldn’t shut up about how bright and fruity it was. Pastries are clearly made in-house and baked fresh – the almond croissant was buttery, flaky heaven with the most generous frangipane filling I’ve ever had. Crispy outside, cloud-like inside.
